Make it easy with free electronic statements. Receive email notifications when your statement is ready and access up to 2 years of history in your online banking. Feel free to save them to your computer, if it’s secure. Oh - and you help us save a bunch of trees! Check your online agreement for details.
Paper statements are $2.50 charge per month. Switch your options by logging in to your online banking and click Statement Preferences in the left-hand column and make your choice.

We sure do! It’s a secure way to make purchases that are automatically debited from your account. Hold your MemberCard in front of the merchant’s payment terminal that supports the tap function. A beep and/or ‘approved’ message will acknowledge your transaction is complete. No need to punch in your pin.
INTERAC® Flash uses secure chip processing to protect against skimming, counterfeiting and electronic pick‐pocketing.
Are there spending limits?
Yes. Spending limits provide an added layer of protection by occasionally prompting you to enter your PIN when your limit is reached. This will validate that you are the legitimate cardholder.
You can spend up to $200 ($100 groceries + $50 gas + $50 other) per day, with each transaction allowing for a maximum of $100. Once you’ve hit your limit the terminal will ask you to insert your card and pin to complete the payment.
Of course! Life’s tricky, paying shouldn’t be. Members can pay with Interac® Flash on Android* phones by downloading the latest version of the First Calgary banking app. Once you’ve created your PIN on an active flash card, you can use it at any location where INTERAC® Flash is available in Canada.
Mobile Pay is for Android users who use debit frequently for payment, and want a secure, contactless payment functionality with all the benefits of INTERAC® Flash, with the added convenience of securely paying for smaller purchases without your Member Card®.
Note: Apple Pay is not available with First Calgary right now. Credit Unions are working to progress discussions with Apple on service availability in the future. In the meantime, we’re delighted to be able to bring an Android solution to First Calgary members!
How to use it:
- Download the latest First Calgary Financial Mobile Banking App (if you haven’t already!) onto your Android* phone.
- Tap on the Mobile Pay feature on the Mobile App homepage.
- Select the debit card you’d like to activate Mobile Pay for from the list shown.
- Set a passcode to use for Mobile Pay.
- Select your preferred security options and tap SAVE.
- Review your settings and account details, and tap DONE.
- Your Android phone now has Mobile Pay activated on it!
How to use it once installed:
Simply hold your unlocked Android phone near payment pad, follow the instructions on the screen and wait for the purchase to be approved. Transactions occur in real time and will show in the account history immediately after the purchase has been approved.
And don’t worry. It’s secure. With protection including passcode verification, transaction limits and zero customer liability, you can feel confident using Mobile Pay for any Interac Flash purchase. For purchases over $100, you’ll be asked to enter your Mobile Pay passcode. From time to time, you may also be asked for the passcode. It’s a little extra security for your benefit. Card information is not stored on the mobile device.

Email transfer (this may have a fee, depending on the account you are on):
Login to your online banking. Select ‘Send Interac e-Transfer’ under the ‘Transfers’ tab in the left-hand column and follow the directions on the page.
To another First Calgary Financial member (this is free):
Transfers can be completed once they are set-up in your online banking environment. To set that up, visit your nearest branch or call our Member Care Centre at 1.866.923.4778. All you need to have is the account number of the other party and we will take care of the rest. Once this is set up you’re able to log into your online banking to complete transfers to another member under the ‘Transfers’ tab in the left-hand column.
Login to your online banking.
Select ‘Western Union® Money Transfer’ under the ‘Transfers’ tab in the left-hand column, then follow the directions on the page.
Your Interac® eTransfer sender profile must be set up prior. You will be prompted to do so in your online banking to set this up.
Wire transfers are available to our members in many currencies!

Receiving A Transfer
If you are receiving a wire in Canadian dollars, please provide the information on this form to the sender to include in the wire instructions. The wire may not reach you if any of the information below is incorrect or missing.
If you are receiving a wire in U.S. dollars, please complete the information on this form because First Calgary Financial doesn’t receive U.S. wires directly. Instead, they are routed through our wire services provider, Custom House UK (a Western Union® company). Please provide all of the information below to the sender to include on the wire instructions. The wire may not reach you if any of the information below is incorrect or missing.
** The 12 Digit Member Account Number is comprised of the; Product # (2 digits) + Sub # (3 digits) + Member # (7 digits - precede member number with zeros if less than 7 digits).
Sending A Transfer
If you are sending a wire transfer, visit your local First Calgary Financial branch, and bring the following information regarding the person or business you are sending money to:
- Recipient's full name and address
- Recipient's Account Number
- Recipient's Branch Number and full address
- Recipient's Financial Institution routing number
- SWIFT Code (if known)
- ABA number (US wires)
